Reflecting on 2019 in some respects is almost like we have been in a time machine but not moved forwards or backwards.
However, we have had some very proud moments which showcase our member businesses and their determination and resilience to trade internationally. This was admirably demonstrated by our members, Victoria Tsoi the Managing Director from Kemtron and Jeff Dewing the CEO from CloudFM who were panellists at the British Chamber of Commerce International Trade Summit in October.
We applaud Ultimotive Limited who won the Queens Award for Enterprise 2019 and then went on to scoop another award at the British Chambers Small Business of the Year for the East of England. We also saw Esslab awarded Export Champions by the DIT for Southern England. We were proud to support PAB Languages as guest speaker at their event celebrating 10 years in business.
In this issues Chamber News you can read about our preparations over the past three years for Brexit and from the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) about their participation at the World Customs Organisation (WCO). In Exporters News we hear from some of our members about further achievements and successes. In Trade News we offer an insight into Block Chain the much talked about new technology which will change the way the pipeline of trade data flows in the future.
