In September, the Essex Chambers of Commerce’s International Trade Department went through their bi-annual Certification Inspection. This inspection which is performed by the British Chambers of Commerce, is mandatory for all Chambers of Commerce that issue export documentation. Passing is a requirement in order to continue to operate. We are pleased to announce that we passed with flying colours. The results were the highest standard achieved to date. Our inspector was pleased with the overall standard of documentation and procedures and had no hesitation in recommending that we retain our Issuing Body Status.
The inspection was held at our central documentation office in Southend.
The findings contained in the Inspection Report include “praise of the high standard of service provided by the team with the small discrepancies that were found were neither systemic nor severe in their importance. The team have an excellent grasp of the certification service, and deliver an excellent service to their clients and members consistently”
The standard of the accuracy of our HMRC Customs documents, EUR1 and ATR forms, was specifically high with the inspector searching through many of these documents in order to find a minor discrepancy to report. It was stated that "Essex Chambers is a credit to the International Trade Network”.
We would like to thank all our export documentation customers for their continued support in keeping our standards high and we will endeavour to do ‘even better’ on the next one!
